Xcel plans renewable power project at Ryan’s Ford site redevelopment

Xcel Energy Inc. announced a plan Tuesday to use solar and hydro energy to power the Ford site redevelopment in St. Paul.
The proposal is part of Xcel’s partnership with Minneapolis-based Ryan Cos., the site’s developer, to provide 100% renewable energy to the site that will eventually include 3,800 housing units, 150,000 square feet of retail space and 265,000 square feet of office space.
